Feeding Your Kids: 6 to 12 Months

At about six months of age, most infants are ready to begin consuming foods other than breast milk or infant formula. So which solid foods should you feed your infant first? And how will you know when your infant is ready?

Babies 6 months and older are typically ready to start eating:

🚩 Pureed/mashed beans, peas, lentils, eggs, or tofu

🚩 Cooked meats such as fish, beef or chicken

🚩 Iron-rich foods such as iron-fortified cereal
